List your event on Kya Scene
Sell tickets, check people in from your phone, and keep the relationship with the people who came. Free events cost nothing to run.
What it costs
Free events are free. No commission, no listing fee, no per-ticket charge — a free ticket moves no money, so there is nothing to take a percentage of.
Paid events carry a 7% commission on each ticket sold. It comes out of the ticket price, so what you set is what the attendee pays. Payment-gateway charges are separate and are set by the gateway, not by us.
7% is the standard rate. If you run something at a scale or a frequency that makes it the wrong number, talk to us before you list.
What you need before you start
- An email address you can confirm. It is how we reach you about your own events, so it has to be one you read.
- One identity document for the organization — PAN, GSTIN, Aadhaar, CIN or Udyam. Individuals and registered companies can both list; the document just has to match who is putting the event on.
- Bank details, when you are ready to be paid out. You can set an event up and get it approved before this.
How it works
Create your account
The same account you would use to buy a ticket. Confirm your email address from the link we send.
Set up your organization
Your public name, who you legally are, and how attendees reach you. Then upload one identity document.
We review it
A person reads it — this is not automated. We check that the organization is real and that the document matches it. You will get an email either way, and if something is wrong we say what.
Publish and sell
Build the event, set your ticket types and prices, and submit it. Once it is approved you decide when it goes live — approval is permission to publish, not publishing.
What you get
- A dashboard with what you have sold and what you have been paid.
- The full attendee list, exportable, with contact details when you need to reach people.
- Check-in from any phone. The QR on each ticket scans once and cannot be reused.
- Discount codes you control — a percentage or a fixed amount, capped by how many you want to give away.
- Your own page, so people who liked one of your nights can find the next one.
A note on review
Every organization and every event is read by a person before it goes public. That is slower than publishing instantly and it is the point: attendees are handing over money for something that has to actually happen. If your event is time-sensitive, submit it with room to spare.
Ready?
Setting up takes about ten minutes. You can build your first event while your organization is being reviewed.
